贾樟柯，出生于1970年，山西省汾阳人。从1995年起开始电影编导工作，现居北京。法国《电影手册》评论他的首部长片《小武》摆脱了中国电影的常规，是标志着中国电影复兴与活力的影片。德国电影评论家乌利希 格雷格尔称他为“亚洲电影闪电般耀眼的希望之光。"

剧 情〓 1997年，山西汾阳。 小武是个扒手，自称是干手艺活的。他戴着粗黑框眼镜，寡言，不怎么笑，头时刻歪斜着，舌头总是顶着腮帮。他常常抚摸着石头墙壁，在澡堂里练习卡拉OK，陪歌女枯燥地压马路，与从前的“同事”现在的大款说几句闲言淡语，他穿着大两号的西装，在大兴土木的小镇上晃来晃去。他从前的兄弟，现在的“大款”却拒绝他参加婚礼，这让他很郁闷。此时，他与妓女梅梅的爱情闪电般展开了。一个妓女又将给小武带了怎么样的命运呢。。。。。。

剧 情〓《站台》以缓慢而几近纪录片风格地展现了中国当代的变迁。画面之真实，节奏之缓重，情景人物之似曾相识，使人不由得感慨不已。如此准确、深刻而连贯地影画中国底层民众随着时代变迁起落沉浮，极为难得。
一九七九年，中国开始实施“改革、开放”政策。
汾阳县文工团的崔明亮、张军等年轻人在舞台上排演诗朗诵《风流歌》。朗诵的女演员殷瑞娟，是崔明亮倾慕的恋人。两人一起参加工作，经常在一起排练，但关系微妙，从未相互表达。星期天，崔明亮和张军约殷瑞娟，钟萍等同事去看电影《流浪者》，恰巧碰到了殷瑞娟的父亲。殷父不喜欢女儿与崔明亮在一起，以为两人在谈恋爱，从电影院将女儿叫走，大家不欢而散。
殷瑞娟和崔明亮都极不平静，两人在黄昏的街上不期而遇，终于表达了爱情。 进入八十年代，中国开始开放沿海城市。
大家在发廊里听邓丽君的《美酒加咖啡》。张军请假前往广州看望姑妈。广州是中国最早开放的城市，各种各样的新鲜事物在此地汇集。
崔明亮收到张军从广州寄来的明信片，望着画面上的高楼大厦，崔明亮彻夜难眠。
张军从广州回来，带回了电子手表、录音机以及一把红棉牌吉它。人们开始接触到更多的音乐，崔明亮也开始迷上了吉它。
文工团为了适应市场的需要排演了一台轻音乐节目，并要巡回演出，但殷瑞娟的父亲病了，她不能与崔明亮他们一起远行。一对恋人不得不别离。
清晨，一辆汽车拉着崔明亮和张军等人向远处驶去，开始了他们的演出之旅。
走穴途中，钟萍离张军而去，崔明亮则与留在县城的殷瑞娟失去了消息，殷瑞娟开始寻找新的男友。
可是当他们在八十年代末期结束艰辛的走穴生涯之后，他们发现自己还是一无所有，而且在精神上疲惫不堪。
九十年代初期，他们回到县城，也回到平庸的生活，最后，崔明亮在自家的沙发上睡着了，殷瑞娟抱着他们的孩子望着远处高高的城墙。

剧 情〓《任逍遥》是贾樟柯自编自导的第三部故事长片，由法、日、韩三国联合出品，香港胡同制作公司执行制作。这也是日本著名导演北野武自2000年《站台》后投资拍摄的第2部贾樟柯电影。《任逍遥》于山西大同即兴拍摄，描写失业工人子弟的生活，两名19岁的少年彬彬和小济抢劫银行未遂的故事。该片一改贾樟柯惯用的写实手法，风格迷离。因《站台》而脱颖而出的女主角赵涛在片中饰演一个矿区野模特，在2002年戛纳电影节上引起瞩目，有评价认为她的表演闪现了当代中国女演员普遍缺乏的质感。
